Droid x news widget not updating
Widgets are small apps on the DROID X home screen used for almost everything from turning off/on Wi Fi or Bluetooth, accessing specific phonebook contacts, to displaying of all your social networking account updates, status announcements, and messages. They are used to access functions or view features with minimal keypresses.Widget works better than an app because you can stay on the homepage. The Samsung Fascinate update that sort of slipped under the radar yesterday amidst the explosion that was the Droid X 2.2 update appears to be available. Recently purchased a Droid X and Social Networking and News Widgets just stopped updating. Wnet to verizon store and they said is a motorola problem...help at all. I've tried deleting and re-installing; still won't work. I am currently using ESPN Score Center with Launcher Pro Plus and the widget won't update. To resize a Motorola widget, touch and hold it, then release.
I do not really want to remove it as i hate the stock 3 button interface at the bottom (why do i need a contacts and phone, just use the phone to look thru contacts, wasted space IMO) and am quite keen on keeping the 5 button. If i power off the phone and turn it back on it's fine again for about an hour. When you first power on your handset you will notice a few thumbnails and widgets already present on your various homescreens. Some may already display information, others will be blank and might request adding a social network or selecting a contact.Simply flick down/up to scan through items in the stack. Just touch and hold the widget until it's highlighted, release it to see an outline, then drag a corner or side to resize.Widgets bring the content you want right to your Home page.
