Updating airport extreme firmware
Engineers working on Air Port hardware are now working with other teams within Apple, including Apple TV development.
Last week Apple released firmware version 7.9.1 for Wireless-AC Air Port Extreme and Air Port Time Capsule. In other words, the ones that are tall while towers.
As is par for the course, Apple isn’t providing many details about the update itself.
The update allows users to get access to features like Air Play 2 and a lot more.
